training
An airplane is noisy, compact and busy—it’s easy for students to become overwhelmed. Combining new concepts with immediate application in the simulator is the most effective way to master aeronautical knowledge.
Working in the simulator allows repetition, and the opportunity to stop, ask questions and then continue.
Simulator time maximizes the more expensive time spent in an airplane.
Weather is never a factor for simulator training.
The FAA has approved the basic aviation training device (BATD) for:

-
10 hours with a CFII toward the required 40 hours of instrument time for an instrument rating.
-
Instrument currency which is 6 approaches, holding, tracking and intercepting required every 6 months.
